HTML Email Development
Custom, hand-coded HTML email templates built to render correctly across email clients, not designed in a drag-and-drop builder and hoped for the best.
Email rendering is not like web rendering. There is no CSS grid, no flexbox, no CSS variables that work consistently. Outlook uses Microsoft Word's rendering engine. Gmail strips certain CSS selectors. Dark mode inverts colors in ways that break light-mode-only designs. I understand these constraints at the code level and build around them.
What you get: templates coded to your brand, tested across clients, imported and configured inside Klaviyo, and documented so your team can edit copy without breaking the layout.
- Your current email templates break in Outlook or render incorrectly on mobile
- You need a branded template system that does not look like a default Klaviyo block template
- You need dynamic content sections that Klaviyo's drag-and-drop editor cannot produce
Deliverability Diagnosis & Infrastructure Repair
For brands whose emails are landing in spam, seeing declining open rates, or recovering from a reputation problem.
The surface-level fix most people get is "clean your list and check your DNS records." That is the starting point, not the solution.
If your domain is being actively spoofed (someone else sending mail that appears to come from your domain), I can identify it from DMARC reports and enforce a policy that stops it.
- SPF record audit: identifying over-permissive includes, missing sending sources, and SPF lookup count issues
- DKIM: verifying selector configuration, key length, and that alignment is passing correctly against your From domain
- DMARC: reading aggregate reports (RUA), identifying which sending sources are failing, moving policy from p=none to p=quarantine or p=reject safely without disrupting legitimate mail flows
- Google Postmaster Tools review: domain reputation, IP reputation, spam rate trends
- Sending domain assessment: dedicated domain vs. shared pool, warming history, current reputation
- List hygiene strategy: suppression logic, sunset flows, engagement segmentation
